Palo Santo Smudge Stick - Palo Santo (Bursera Graveolens) is a mystical tree that grows on the Coast of South America & is related to Frankincense, Myrrh, & Copal. In Spanish, the name literally means “Holy Wood”. Palo Santo Sticks are harvested from the fallen branches & trees.

This wonderfully powerful wooden stick has energetically cleansing & healing properties similar to Sage & Cedar. It's strong medicine for keeping your energies grounded, focused, & clear. Palo Santo raises your vibration in preparation for meditation & allows for a deeper connection to the Source of all creation. It's also said that Palo Santo enhances creativity & brings good fortune to those who are open to its magic. Palo Santo smoke is a natural bug repellant & some people have found the scent/smoke helpful for headaches/migraines.

Instructions: With clear focus & intent, start by breathing in deeply for a few minutes. Take deep inhales, followed by gently exhales. After five to ten breathes, center your mind & focus on the peaceful sensation within your Heart Chakra within the center of your chest. Take your Palo Santo Stick & place it into a flame (candle flame works best). Allow the flame to ignite your stick. Then gently blow the flame out. Your stick should have an orange burning ember being produced from it's tip. You can then move the smoke being produced with your hands, a feather, or even with your breathe. Allow this smoke to pass over the objects, area, & person you are intending to cleanse & purify. After allowing the smoke to cleanse what is needed, you can extinguish your Palo Santo by placing it in sand or stomping it out inside a fire safe bowl/ashtray. One single stick can last for many burnings.
